The Master List & Giveaway: Fave Books of 2012

What a reading year it has been! I have read the good, the bad, and the most awesome. Not many books made it on my list of faves this year but the ones that did (what most awesmazing reading it was). I discovered great new authors, and really believe 2012 was the year that many pubs/authors started taking risks with their writing. I am so excited to see what 2013 will be like in the year of M/M romance because 2012 was so filled with amazing things.

I am also giving away an ebook copy of one of the books on the list, just tell me which one you are most excited to read. Regular contest rules apply, must be 18yrs or over, and contest runs until January 8th 11:59pm EST.

Alright here I go....

The Party Boy's Guide To Dating A Geek by Piper Vaughn & Xara Xanakas

I loved the absolute crap put of this book! It's my fave read of the entire year and I can't help but break out in the Sexy Nerd song. I really never expected to love this book so much but man do I love it, I love it sooo much. Fee is most definitely my most favest sexy nerd ever.

A Life Without You by Erica Pike

All the ways I love this book, the ways are so many. So much angst and intense sexy feelings. I love it because I remember it, and I remember that intensity between Jesse & Adam (Sooo Hawt). So much happens that most readers won't like, but what the hell loved every minute of it. No safe played here!

Power Play: Awakening by Cat Grant & Rachel Haimowitz

As much as I loved the first book in this series, Awakening really was the icing on the cake. I want my very own Johnathan (He's so evil and pretty). Sexy, intense, and wonderfully written. This was BDSM at its best and I would jump for joy if Cat and Rachel gave us more of these guys. I don't even care if BDSM is not your thing, look at that pretty cover and tell me you don't wanna read it =_=.

The Last Concubine by Catt Ford

Seriously, Asian characters really do it for me plus the gender bending added a little something and the young guy gets poked by older dude is like food for my heart :D. Not without flaws but I fell in love anyways. Win!!

Who We Are by TJ Klune

So I didn't review this one, but just like the first book I loved the crap out this one. These quirky characters are some of my fave and I look forward to more book by TJ Klune. I not only like him as an author, but he seems like so much fun from his posts and other crazy he gets up to. Please read BOATK series and fall in love. So Worth It!!!

Dirty Secret by Rhys Ford

Ummm, YES! Koreans, Japanese this freaking book had me at "hello". So much to love about this series, and Dirty Secret really was the staple that made me fall in love with this crazy series. The colorful characters and all that interracial love. What can I say, it's like it was written just for me. You guys know Darien love her some Asians (you guys know it).

Stone Rose by Megan Derr

I really love all the books in this series but Stone Rose was really made of awesome. Snakes, strong female character, and a menage that I was all "hell yeh" about. The adventure and level of storytelling was just excellent, and this book just blew me out of the water. Awesome!!!!

  1. Great list- Ive read some, I've got 1 or 2 to read and some sound like I should have them!
My fave from your list would be The Party Boys Guide to Dating a Geek - I read some great reviews about but also the name and cover shouldn't work (too long and so bright but wonderfully simple) but just grab your attention

  2. Hi! Thanks for this list. There are a lot of great reads here, but I would have to say that the one I want to read the most is Power Play: Awakening by Cat Grant & Rachel Haimowitz. I enjoy well-written BDSM, and you're right...the cover is just too delicious to resist.

  11. Well, consider my thoroughly chuffed!

I already have some of those books and now need to bump them up on my list to read. The cover of Power Play: Awakening has caught my eye from the first time I saw it (on your site, mind you). Just love Anne Cain, she's one of the best. I have the first book in the series (still unread), so I'd love that this one if I'd win.

    Happy 2013 ^.^

  19. A great list of books to check out. I'm most interested in Erica Pike's A Life Without You. I got to spent lots of time with her at GRL and am slowly collecting her stories.

  20. Sigh, I've been holding off as I try to make a decision, but it's still too hard! So many amazing wish list books here (A LIFE WITHOUT YOU, POWER PLAY: AWAKENING, STARFISH AND COFFEE) and ones I hadn't known about (WHO WE ARE, ACCELERATION, THE STONE ROSE). Please forgive me! And THE HOT FLOOR and DIRTY SECRET are as excellent as advertised...
