Author Spotlight & Giveaway: Megan Derr

Since I read Treasure, the first book in The Lost Gods series Megan Derr has quickly become a fave author of mine. The Lost Gods series is complete hit for me, and so I thought I would check out some of her other works. Well, color me surprised I am now officially a raging fan girl.

With her recent release of Love You like a Romance Novel,  and I just finished Dance With The Devil, it becomes clear that there isn’t a genre that M. Derr cannot write. With the dark sexiness of Black Magic, the sultry pretty of rocker boys, and the commanding presence of the gods; her work is always a surprise and never a repeat. She writes what she wants, and enjoys doing it (I am on board with that).

I don’t care what she’s writing, let’s just say I will be on it like white on rice. I will also be gobbling up her backlist, not for review but for the pleasure of just enjoying and reading. Seriously though, I want to move into her head so I can access to all the awesome that’s coming next.

So this post is a dedication to how much I have enjoyed and loved reading Megan Derr books these last few weeks. They have made me so happy, and I have fallen in love every time. Big props to M. Derr!!!

Tidbits from the Derr...

Prisoner was a lot of fun to write, no one will ever love Dieter and Beraht more than me :3

The Dance books are always a blast to write, and I miss writing short, silly stories like The Dragon's Tamer.

Lost Gods was fun, but also extremely hard.

Black Magic I went through a LOT of wine, and TBH I'm not a huge fan of Embrace and will probably remove it from publication in the next year or so. I've always felt that idea should have gone to someone else.

  10. If you're looking for more good books by Megan Derr, try her Midsummer series or Sandstorm. I own both paperbacks and they're worth every penny.

There are a couple of her books that I haven't gotten the chance to read yet, Black Magic being one of them. Please include me in the running!

  23. I've been a fangirl for more years than I can count. She spins tales in such a way that completely draws you into a world that seems just as real as the one in which we live. Follow her for long enough and most other authors will start to seem lacking in comparison. :3
