Waiting On A Pants Losing: May Pants Droppers

Seriously, it's May already. So that means another batch of books to buy and add to a mountainous collection, can someone call a freaking doctor. May has some exciting releases, not really my fave month of releases but there's still a few that caught my eye. So here's my list of May Pants Droppers.

One Small Thing by M.J O'Shea and Piper Vaughn
Dreamspinner Press
Release Date- May 4th 2012
Excitability: 4.5/5 (read the excerpt and I am just ready to lose my pants)

Blurb:
“Daddy” is not a title Rue Murray wanted, but he never thought he’d have sex with a woman either. Now he’s the unwitting father of a newborn named Alice. Between bartending and cosmetology school, Rue doesn’t have time for babies, but he can’t give her up. What Rue needs is a babysitter, and he’s running out of options. He’s on the verge of quitting school to watch Alice himself when he remembers his reclusive new neighbor, Erik.

Erik Van Nuys is a sci-fi novelist with anxiety issues to spare. He doesn’t like people in general, and he likes babies even less. Still, with his royalties dwindling, he could use the extra cash. Reluctantly, he takes on the role of manny—and even more reluctantly, he finds himself falling for Alice and her flamboyant father.

Rue and Erik are as different as two people can be, and Alice is the unlikeliest of babies, but Rue has never been happier than when Alice and Erik are by his side. At least, not until he receives an offer that puts all his dreams within reach and he’s forced to choose: the future he’s always wanted, or the family he thought he never did.

Trapping Drake by Lee Brazil
Release Date- May 4th 2012
Excitability: 4/5 (Twins/Menage that is all)

Blurb:
Drake Fallon's impulsive decision to stop and help a stranger change a tire leads to intriguing possibilities. What he doesn’t know is that there are two J. Cahills.

After miserable years looking for love in other places, Jesse and Jay Cahill have accepted that for them, illicit passion is the only one. They've built a life, a home together.

A chance encounter on a rainy night brings something Jesse never expected- an attraction for another man. Still, he's committed to the love he has for his twin, Jay, and he pushes Drake Fallon away.

Drake is intrigued by the vulnerable man he met in the downpour. Though Jesse claims to be involved, Drake is certain the relationship can't be fulfilling or Jesse wouldn't have returned his kiss with such passion.

Jay Cahill is devastated when his lover whispers another man's name in his dreams. When Drake calls, how can Jay resist meeting the man who's crept into his twin's dreams?

Wishes by J.C Owens
Release Date- May 4th 2012
Excitability: 4/5 (One of my fave books is by this author, plus the blurb had me at 'Sex Slave')

Blurb:
Sex slave to an alien culture...

Lt. Auri finds his job aboard the diplomatic cruiser both frustrating and exhausting, but he's determined to prove himself to his new captain. Despite the diplomatic importance of their mission, Auri is wary of the catlike Felinians, who have a reputation for enjoying human company, willing or not. But when he's ordered to witness the signing of the trade papers with the Felininans, Auri never imagines that he's about to be betrayed.

Sold into an alien culture, Auri finds himself the newest man in the Felinian leader's erotic harem. Kanar claims him as his "mate," but Auri longs for freedom. Though his feelings for Kanar begin to grow, Auri stubbornly refuses the Felininan and the other men of his harem, leading to loneliness and grief. But how can he open himself up to his captor, and to the love of more than one partner?

The Wolfing Way by Susan Laine
Release Date- May 16th 2012
Excitability: 3.5/5 (I am a sucker for a cover plus it sounds exciting)

Blurb:
Book One of Lifting the Veil

Kris Ellis thought that the time of arranged marriages was long past—but that was before the Great Unveiling revealed creatures of myth living among humans. Now a routine medical test has determined that Kris has a mate, a werewolf named Rafael King.

Kris is fresh out of college and has plans for his life. None of them include being tied forever to someone he’s never met. But then Rafe calls him, and Kris starts to reconsider. After all, what must it be like to wait for your soul mate for two hundred years?

Rafe is patient, strong, and kind, not to mention attractive. True to what Kris has heard about mates, sparks fly the second they meet. But Kris and Rafe are very different, and the werewolf way of life is dangerous. Is the fight for love really worth it?

The Shift by Kate Sherwood
Samhain Publishing
Release Date- May 22nd 2012
Excitability: 4/5 (It's a freaking Kate Sherwood, I also love the cover)

Blurb:
Two men, too many monsters.

Raised off the grid, Cash has trained all his life to protect humanity from The Shift—a mysterious force that creates monsters capable of unspeakable destruction. For Cash and his warrior family, risks are just part of the job and death is an ever-present possibility.

When his daredevil tendencies defeat a monster but leave him over his head in a puddle of green goo, Cash figures his number is up...until he’s plucked to safety by a devastatingly handsome stranger.

Toby needs no weapons to fight The Shift, that’s why he’s perfected the art of laying low. Sudden moves draw unwanted attention, but he can’t stand by and watch Cash drown. Big mistake—it isn’t long before Cash is returning the favor, rescuing him from kidnappers intent on harnessing his genetic enhancements.

On the run with danger nipping at their heels, romantic sparks fly between them. But there’s no trust without truth, and things get complicated when Toby reveals everything Cash has fought against is a lie. The time has come to decide who’s the real monster—and whose side he’s on.

  1. The first one I'm wavering. I'm not a huge fan of the surprise baby storyline, but I've read some good things, so maybe.

OMG!!! TWINCEST!!!!! Um. Okay, I'll probably check that one out. Ahem.

I do have a soft spot for shifters and for interesting fonts, thus the last one.

    1. Yeh, the twincest had me at hello. It's my kink, and Lee Brazil really knows how to write a twin ménage.
