New Reviewers! (Updated)

WooHoo! I am so excited to share with the new additions to the Pants Off team. I know how slow its been here for the past few months, and just Fehu and me we couldn't quite meet the demand. So now with fresh meat there will be so many voices to Pants Off Reviews but what will remain the same is our very honest opinions all the freaking time.

So let me introduce you to Elbie & SinChan for right now and hope you welcome them with big open arms. YAY!!

Hi, I'm Elbie and I am happy to join the Pants Off team.  I live in a small city in a small home where I am vastly outnumbered by pets and vastly outsmarted by a 10-year-old.  My favourite escape is my ereader and the beautiful boys who live in there waiting for love to surprise them.  I sob through their heart aches, cheer their HEAs, and blush through their sexy time (before flipping back to read it again).  I look forward to discovering new authors and to just being a part of the fantastic m/m community.

I first discovered M/M romance from reading yaoi manga and then fanfiction. I'm an otaku at heart. I love Japanese culture and I've been to Japan. I like seafood, sushi, and most Asian foods. Most of the time, I'm on my phone reading ebooks. I love it when books have a happy ending, are well written, and are emotional satisfying. I also review books at my own blog, Books on Silver Wings. http://onsilverwingz.blogspot.com/

My Mother started my love affair with books when I was just 8 years old. I started reading and just haven’t stopped yet. At 12 I started reading romance novels and that was all she wrote!! I started reading M/M books about a year and a half ago and OH MY LANTA!! I have been on a Roll!! I’m so very lucky to have been able to join the Pants Off Reviews Crew!! Here’s to Way More Happy Reading!!

Tears, Fears, and Book Reviews (In Which I Pour my Heart Out)

First I'd like to apologize to authors and publishers to whom I promised review of book/books. You might have noticed the decline in reviews for the last few months. This has to do with helping my oldest son in school and the focus of the summer months. My youngest turned 4 this year which meant starting school this September so I thought I would get an early start in preparing him for this drastic change, I never expected it to be easy but I also didn't know it would become this hard.

I first noticed he had difficulties with his speech, but along the way I also noticed he had difficulties with behaviour, transitions, and just pretty much dealing in public. At home he was happy healthy and had the regular amount of tantrums expected of any 3 year old, but it all suddenly started to change. He would get agitated very easily, he stopped responding to direction, and his eating/sleeping habits changed drastically. It had become difficult for me to take him anywhere and sometimes I didn't even want to. So I shared my concerns with his pediatrician and I was referred to a speech and language therapist. We both agreed at the time that maybe this aggression was coming from the fact the he could not communicate, I was wrong. I began to take notice that he was always on the tip of his toes, wanted his toys a certain way and could not deal with a change, fascination with his fingertips (what they call finger posturing), and sometimes how fictional things such as cartoons began to take part in his daily life. He would repeat all the things from a cartoon he liked, and what I would later come to learn is called echolalia.

Upon his first assessment with the speech pathologist she saw all these things right from the start which she was afraid of sharing because she didn't want to offend me but I had already shared my concerns with her. What wasn't apparent when we saw the pediatrician was so very clear now. A referral letter was written and now we are in the process of doing a Multidisciplinary Assessment which in all honesty takes awhile to be complete. So as of right now I'm left with a that he is most likely is autistic.

The good news is that E has his strengths and can work independently and from first glance nothings seems to be amiss. Well he had his first day of school today and I hoped, I prayed that it would be a good day but sadly it was not. I mean it could be worse, I tell myself it could be worse but it hurts when your baby gets scared by other students touching him cus they are excited he's at school. It hurts, because I want him to play and enjoy the benefits of kindergarten, it hurts because I want him to make friends. It hurts because they say he's too violent and look at me like I did something wrong. I wish they could see that smile or hear his laugh or experience that first time he looks right in your eyes and explain about Titanic. And I hurt because I think "why can't he just be normal and sit in that fucking circle with the other kids?" I should know there is no such thing as normal, I should know more than anyone. Yet I can't help my thoughts and I can't help feeling like I did something wrong or I was too late to finally do something.

My boys are my entire life since I had my oldest 7 years ago. I felt like now was the time to do something finishing school and provide a better life for them. Now I live with this anxiety of always expecting a call and so I stopped believing in myself, I stopped believing in E. I can change this and I will. I've been reading and researching on how to make him cope when and if he is diagnosed with autism. My goal is to make sure he's happy and stop worrying about what others are thinking. It’s my job to make sure he has a fulfilling school life and if public school is too much and he needs someplace geared towards his needs. I'm neither afraid nor embarrassed of that fact. Elie is brilliant, he's amazing, he's fantastic and I'm no longer worrying about placing him in a box. I am not without tears and moments of doubt but I can't afford to doubt I can only believe that in time with work and dedication that his days away from home will become easier.

Sorry for the rant, but I just needed to vent. So again I apologize for the lack of reviews. I'm not stopping, I just ask that you be patient and know I haven't forgotten just been preoccupied.

Oops! Where Did My Pants Go?? (Widdershins)

I'll try to tell you where my pants went, suckers got lost in Widdershins. There I was minding my own business and reading Widdershins, and suddenly the atmosphere becomes dark and a character is talking about smart stuff and speaks 12 languages but can read more. Then *poof* there was a mention of a flowing overcoat and quote that went a little like this

"oh, and wear something dark" He swept out, his overcoat flaring behind him.

and my pants was then lost me.
I can't even, I don't even understand this power of Griffin.

I got a whiff of Widdershins when author Rhys Ford and reviewer Lisa H from The Novel Approach was raving about it (then again I thought Rhys was making it up so with Lisa I knew that it was all a real book). Jordan L. Hawk has been hiding from me, and now that I am on to her awesome she can't stop the pants losing I'm expecting. Widdershins was dark, funny, and incredibly sexy! Griffin and Whyborne are such engaging and well developed characters I got lost in there awesome (pants WTF, where the hell are you?).

Then throw in the creepy paranormal edge and you have what dreams are made of. This played out like a movie in my head, and I now have fetishes for overcoats, top hats, and scarves *winter here I come cus my gratuitous sexy clothes play is coming*. Yep, in winter shit is about to get real O_o...

So here is to my pants loss and all the pants losing I am expecting from Griffin & Whyborne, and somehow Fall Out Boy's 'The Phoenix' is stuck in my head like some sort of OST.

Right now you can get Widdershins for $0.99 that's right folks its less than a dollar, one awesmazingly entertaining book for less than a buck 'hallelujah' sharing the savings like a boss. More G&W is coming today which is also my son's 7th birthday but it's as if it’s mine cus I am getting a gift. Skadoosh, this shit explosive.

And how about that VILF (Villain I'd Like to Fuck) like seriously I realized I have a thing for cold and clammy dead men a long time ago. The man back from the dead was giving off 'fuck me' eyes from the pages, he totally was being sexy for no apparent reason *geesh dead guys these days*.

Widdershins (Whyborne & Griffin #1) by Jordan L. Hawk
Self-Published
Novel: 236pgs
4.5 Pants Off

Blurb:
Some things should stay buried.

Repressed scholar Percival Endicott Whyborne has two skills: reading dead languages and hiding in his office at the Ladysmith Museum. After the tragic death of the friend he secretly loved, he’s ruthlessly suppressed any desire for another man.

So when handsome ex-Pinkerton Griffin Flaherty approaches him to translate a mysterious book, Whyborne wants to finish the job and get rid of the detective as quickly as possible. Griffin left the Pinkertons following the death of his partner, hoping to start a new life. But the powerful cult which murdered Glenn has taken root in Widdershins, and only the spells in the book can stop them. Spells the intellectual Whyborne doesn’t believe are real.

As the investigation draws the two men closer, Griffin’s rakish charm threatens to shatter Whyborne’s iron control. When the cult resurrects an evil sorcerer who commands terrifying monsters, can Whyborne overcome his fear and learn to trust? Will Griffin let go of his past and risk falling in love? Or will Griffin’s secrets cost Whyborne both his heart and his life?

Waiting On A Pants Losing: January Pants Droppers (2013)

Who can believe it's 2013 already? And this means a whole slew of new releases (I'm already having anxiety). There are quite a few books I wanna read this month, and the question is will I get to? By the rate I am watching Teen Wolf and about to get caught up in fanfic, probably not ^_^ I really am keeping my fingers crossed that I at least get to read one of the books off the list this month, and if any thing read the rest later *no pressure*.

Here's what made the list for January Pants Droppers!

A Stranger in Skoria by John Tristan
Loose-Id
Release Date- I have no freaking idea but I think its for this month
Excitability: 4/5 (It sounds really interesting and it had me at "cyborg")

Blurb:
Jason Vale has just been unceremoniously dumped by his long-time boyfriend, and decides he could use a change of scenery; what he gets instead is a change of world. After setting out on a road trip to 'find himself', he barely gets a mile before a freakish storm sets him down on a tundra of silver grass with a alien sky overhead. This world is called Skoria, and it soon turns hungry eyes toward him, most keenly in the form of Aedar Rictus, the cyborg pirate who covets him as a pet.

Collared and chained to Aedar's will, Jason slowly comes to realise two uncomfortable truths: first, he is not entirely unhappy as Aedar's property, and second, the chains that bind him to his new owner go both ways. An unexpected mind-link between cyborg and human throws the certainties of brutal Skorian law into disarray. With pleasure and pain linking them in a feedback loop of sensations, the boundaries between owner and property--machine and man--begin to blur.

Analyzing Emory by Lily Grace
Dreamspinner Press
Release Date- January 4th 2013
Excitability: 4/5 (I am really loving this cover *cheekbones* plus it sounds awesome)

Blurb:
When a family friend offers him the job of resident psychologist at Chicago’s GLBT Center, Kyle Michelson jumps at the chance to reinvigorate his career, move on from his recent breakup, and get his life back on track. Kyle hopes returning to the familiar territory of his hometown will do him good, but meeting Emory Brenner at a club changes everything.

Anything but familiar, Emory leaves Kyle breathless from the start. There’s just one problem: Kyle wants more than a one-night stand, Emory doesn’t do relationships, and neither man can resist the other. Luckily for Emory, he never has to see Kyle again. Or so Emory thinks until he runs into him while volunteering at the GLBT Center.

Kyle makes Emory want things he never thought he could have and chips away at secrets Emory has kept locked away for years. On the surface, Emory’s recovered from his past: he has a job at a record store and a roof over his head. But putting his trust in another person, having a relationship, means opening himself to more pain—and that is a risk he can’t take.

The Flesh Cartel: #3 Choices by Rachel Haimowitz & Heidi Belleau
Riptide Publishing
Release Date: January 7th 2013
Excitability: 5/5 (First, look at that cover, and second I can't wait to be in utter shock.)

Blurb:
The Flesh Cartel returns for a compelling second season with "Choices." Brothers Mat and Dougie Carmichael thought nothing could be worse than being snatched from their home and brutally dehumanized in preparation for sale as sex slaves. But they learn their suffering has only just begun when they’re shipped to their new master’s home.

Professional trainer Nikolai Petrovic is a master of his trade. His ultra-rich clientele pay him to create perfectly tailored playthings, and Mat and Dougie are the latest in a long line of men who have walked into his remote mountain home as terrified victims and left it permanently altered: subdued and obedient, ready and even eager for a life of service.

To achieve this, Nikolai must take a drastically different tack with each brother. Dougie, manipulated with affection and denial. Mat, controlled by pain and fear. The one thread in common for both men is choice. Nikolai prides himself on never forcing, but will Mat and Dougie submit willingly to his vision, or will they first need to learn the price of disobedience?

This title is part of the The Flesh Cartel, Season 2: Fragmentation serial.

Quid Pro Quo by L.A Witt & Aleks Voinov
Riptide Publishing
Release Date- January 7th 2013
Excitability: 4/5 (I would never be excited about an L.A Witt book but Aleks is on that so, yes I am excited)

Blurb:
For the past six months, Jared’s been selling sex at Market Garden, a London club that caters to the better-off. But business is slow in the run-up to Christmas, when businessmen and bankers are too busy bickering over bonuses to rent themselves a little high-class action.

Though Jared’s wallet finds the downtime unnerving, the rest of him rather enjoys the opportunity it gives him to admire Tristan, an ol d hand in the club whose reputation usually sees him well-booked. Jared has been crushing on Tristan for months—he’s no more immune to Tristan’s cockiness and confidence than the johns, and those are just Tristan’s inner qualities.

Just as Jared’s about to chat Tristan up, a businessman asks for something a little different: he wants to book them both. They agree—and Jared finds himself going from crush to mind-bending lust as he’s made the pawn in a sexual power game. Tristan shows him how a pro handles a john while delivering the top-shelf sex for which the Market Garden is so rightly renowned.

On track to take over his family’s business and wealth, he defied everyone to start at the bottom and work his way up to become drummer of one of the world’s most popular bands, Forever and a Dai. Too Stupid To Live by Anne Tenino
Riptide Publishing
Release Date- January 14th 2013
Excitability: 4/5 (Anne Tenino makes me laugh so I look forward to this)

Blurb:
It isn't true love until someone gets hurt.

Sam’s a new man. Yes, he’s still too tall, too skinny, too dorky, too gay, and has that unfortunate addiction to romance novels, but he’s wised up. His One True Love is certainly still out there, but he knows now that real life is nothing like fiction. He’s cultivated the necessary fortitude to say “no” to the next Mr. Wrong, no matter how hot, exciting, and/or erotic-novel-worthy he may be.

Until he meets Ian.

Ian’s a new man. He’s pain-free, has escaped the job he hated and the family who stifled him, and is now—possibly—ready to dip his toe into the sea of relationships. He’s going to be cautious, though, maybe start with someone who knows the score and isn’t looking for anything too complicated. Someone with experience and simple needs that largely revolve around the bedroom.

Until he meets Sam.

Sam’s convinced that Ian is no one’s Mr. Right. Ian’s sure that Sam isn’t his type. They can’t both be wrong . . . can they?

Let's Cheat by Gene Taylor
Dreamspinner Press
Release Date- January 16th 2013
Excitability: 4/5 (Oh man that's a risky title, I love It! Plus, they have matching bulges :D)

Blurb:
After nine years, Bradley Moore and Dr. Matt Sharp are a little too secure in their relationship. In fact, they’re in a rut. But when the founder of Bradley’s law firm asks him to establish a branch office in Los Angeles, their predictable lives take a sharp left turn. Matt can’t just pick up and follow—there’s seniority and tenure to think about. If Matt stays in New York, they need a way to keep the spark alive. After racking his brain for a way to save their marriage, Matt finally suggests they cheat—with each other.

Before Bradley leaves, he and Matt take on New York City. They meet in unusual locations, play dress-up, and pretend to be strangers, all in the interest of spicing up their sex life. Their senses of humor and vivid imaginations lead to some interesting “cheating”—and occasionally get them into trouble.

Then Bradley moves to LA and becomes distracted by the lights of Hollywood. With him gone, the opportunity is ripe for Matt’s stalker to step in. Matt thought he and Bradley were doing well, but now Bradley’s gone when Matt needs him most.

Dirty Laundry by Heidi Cullinan
Riptide Publishing
Release Date- January 28th 2013
Excitabilty: 4.5/5 (Loved the short story before this, so I am really looking forward to this. Though I am very "meh" on the cover)

Blurb:
The course of true love doesn’t always run clean. But sometimes getting dirty is half the fun.

Entomology grad student Adam Ellery meets Denver Rogers, a muscle-bound hunk of sexy, when Denver effortlessly dispatches the drunken frat boys harassing Adam at the Tucker Springs laundromat. Thanking him turns into flirting, and then, much to Adam’s delight, hot sex over the laundry table.

Though Denver’s job as a bouncer at a gay bar means he gets his pick of geek-sexy college twinks, he can’t get Adam out of his head. Adam seems to need the same rough play Denver does, and it’s damn hard to say no to such a perfect fit.

Trouble is, Adam isn’t just shy: he has obsessive compulsive disorder and clinical anxiety, conditions which have ruined past relationships. And while Denver might be able to bench-press a pile of grad students, he comes from a history of abuse and is terrified of getting his GED. Neither Denver nor Adam want to face their dirty laundry, but to stay together, they’re going to have to come clean.

This title is part of the Tucker Springs universe.

Callers' Secrets by Charlie Piersol
Dreamspinner Press
Release Date- January 28th 2013
Excitability: 4/5 (Sounds very good, I just hope it is good)

Blurb:
When a Fantasy Muse falls in love with a human, things can get sticky.

On the surface, Ren Crystal appears to be a regular computer repair shop owner—but he isn’t. Ren is a Fantasy Muse, born to covertly pleasure the men who desire him. Although Ren immensely enjoys his purpose in life, he doesn’t feel a personal connection to his “callers” until handsome college professor Will Spencer brings his PC in for repairs.

When Will unwittingly reveals his secrets to Ren in fantasy, Ren finds himself falling in love. Because Ren is young, he doesn’t realize how hard it will be to date a human like Will, and problems quickly arise.

Though Ren is uninhibited by nature, Will struggles with his desires. His outward conservative persona conflicts with his inner life. Will could never admit to his attraction to Ren—or the wicked things he imagines doing with him—but Ren knows. Both men have secrets that could keep them apart. Together they must bear the weight of their mutual deception.

The Update And A Giveaway!!!

I think I was due for an update, so I am telling you guys what I have been up to. I have been reading like crazy (books go quicker when I don’t have to review them) lol. I am over the twenty mark with still some time to go on my break, while not a huge dent in the TBR, I feel all accomplished and shit.

On the school stuff with my son, I can report some very good things. He is now reading by himself and pronouncing words (my freaking heart is super happy). I have been working with his teachers and I got his report card and though it wasn’t stellar (behaviour) academic wise I couldn’t be prouder.  This was just in the time of over two months; so I am excited of where he will be in six. So each day I sit with him and we read, talk, and do homework. His attitude, is something to be desired *so much attitude* we gotta work on that hardcore. I am just celebrating his accomplishments at the moment *fist pump*.

These are a few of the books I enjoyed while breaking…

Gasp by Z.A Maxfield
4 Pants Off

Thoughts: Really liked it! Didn't love it but you can't really go wrong with a ZAM.

Who We Are (Bear, Otter, and Kid #2) by TJ Klune
4.5 Pants Off

Thoughts: Loved the crap out of it. I could read about them all day everyday. I want more pronto!

Shattered Glass (Glass #1) by Dani Alexander
4 Pants Off (High)

Thoughts: Really liked it! Was worried about the overall but I am really anticipating more.

Champion (Indigo Knights #2) by Jet Mykles
4 Pants Off

Thoughts: Not as awesome as I expected but Jet knows how to write GFY/OFY

My Regelence Rake (Sci-Regency #3) by J.L Langley
4 Pants Off

Thoughts: The feck, I missed these guys. Didn't have the awesome of book 1&2 but Rexley and Trouble make up for it. I just love every freaking character in this book.

There were so more reads but mostly low and high 3 Pants Off. Those five books are the ones that I really enjoyed along with Lisa Henry's The Island. Also, since I was MIA for Halloween I did not get to do a giveaway. Well today is your lucky day!

Comment on this post for your chance to win a $10 GC from either Amazon or All Romance. All you have to do is tell me "what book you read and really liked?" while I been breaking.

You, Me, & Yaoi: Yaoi Pushing & Recommendations

I started reading yaoi over three years ago, after the birth of my second son. I was home, he was sleeping a lot and my oldest was spending lots of time with his grandparents. I read the Twilight books at lightning speed, devoured the House of Night series (don’t freaking ask) and I just wanted something new. I have told this story before, but I will share it again.

I wanted to read M/M after reading about the of the chain chemistry between Vishous/Butch from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I wanted it bad! I got a few recs from some online friends, and I did a little search around by myself. Someone had mentioned Jet Mykles, and so I visited her website and she mentioned Yaoi. Googled that sucker and it was as if heaven opened up and let me in it’s arms of insanely awesmazing boy love. I could not believe I was blinded for so many years T_T I totally made up for it, by devouring and making my eyes happy. Yaoi was the shit and I was 100% addicted.

I found some good sites like Aarin Fantasy, and Mangafox, which provided me with all my yaoi needs. I spent a year reading as much as I could, and with no exaggeration I must have read close to a 1000 yaoi mangas *I freaking killed it*. So now, I had M/M and Yaoi together they created an addict and left me broke ass. I have never been happier.

So I wanna push my love of yaoi unto POR readers, yes suckers I said push. I am pusher, an enabler, unleashing the peer pressure. I am no expert, but I do have some favourites that have stuck with me, and I go back to re-read them again and again. If you haven’t read any yaoi before, then starting online would be your best bet that way you can’t lose. And if you love it, then…

My Recs!!!

Junjo Romantic by Nakamura Shungiku
One of my all time fave yaoi series. It's funny, sexy, and I just really want to be Misaki. If you aren't a fan of a 17 year old having sex with an older man then you shloud run from this one. There is dub-consent/non-consent, but it's a story that really evolves and in no time Misaki is 22 and him and Usagi have been together for years. Throw in family drama and jealousy, and you have the makings of a fun wild story. This was made into an anime series, which I also recommend. Just lots of fun.

Status: I believe the publisher for this series was shut down, so I don't think it's available for purchase. Do not worry you can read the series here. I have purchased up to Vol.12 and I am still broke.

Haru Wo Daiteita/Embracing Love by Youka Nitta
This one follows Iwaki and Kato in their over the top but very awesome love story. Both being famous actors and openly gay kind of speak true of the times right now. There were some skeptics, but people have embraced their love, and the series tells of their journey. Lots of ups and downs, but what makes this one stand out is the pure "balls to the walls" theme. Very explicit sex scenes that happen often, but they are so hot its porn art. Youka Nitta is an awesome artist, and I just love these guys so much.

Status: Another series unavailable for order, and very difficult to find online but you wouldn't be disappointed if you spent the time looking. I want to own these mangas so bad and will wait until they are available for re-release.

Update: Embracing Love will be available for purchase come August thanks to Sublime Manga. Are you freaking dead yet? cus I totally am. I am so freaking excited for this the world can't contain me.

Love Mode by Yuki Shimizu
Love Mode is old school but it's freaking awesome! Another one with young characters falling for an older man. It has a bit of everything, the unbelievable mixed with the "that could totally happen" and it's also very sweet. There's a lot of characters in this one but 4 main characters that you will come to know and love. All this revolving around an escort agency, it is all just made of awesome. I really just want to go read this one again.

Status: Yep, you guessed it unavailable for purchase. The good one are just out of order. Don't fret my pets you can read it online It is totally worth your time, and it's just so much fun.

The Prime Minister's Secret Diplomacy by Youka Nitta
Yep, Ms Nitta has made the list again, because she is made of awesome. I love the hell out of this manga and have been waiting for an update like a crack whore. This one is filled with twists and turns, and deep family betrayal, because one of the men is married to the other's sister O_O "oh yes" it's like that. Though you can say that Shiraishi had him first, he is still a very bad brother. It is both sexy and dangerous and you are on the edge trying to figure out how it's all gonna go down.

Status: Good news, you can buy this one and I did. It's frustrating because I want more but I don't know where to find it 'HELP'. Purchase at a most awesmazing price.

Love Pistols/Sex Pistols by Taroko Kotobuki
I love this for only one reason, MPREG. Yes, folks the men get pregnant and I love it, love it, love it. There is a whole lot of story in this series and a whole lot of characters, so you have to be paying serious attention. It's fun and wildly original and I just love the crap out of it.

Status: Can be purchased but in digital form only for now, and is published by recent yaoi press SuBLime Manga. Purchase

Tea for Two by Yaya Sakuragi
Another all time fave, this one featuring a love between two high-school aged boys. Both are as different as night and day. The distinguished Hasune from a wealthy well known tea house family. The brash Tokumaru, whose clumsy and a big oaf but he steals the heart of Hasune instantly. It's really beautiful to see their relationship progress and you will root for them until the end. So Sweet!!

Status: Unavailable for purchase but you can read it online, so it's still a win.

Groupie by Youka Nitta
This story is a testament to variety that can be found in yaoi. This one has siblings together but it's not exactly a healthy relationship. It deals with what can happen when three people enter into a relationship blind. Feelings get hurt, and I was deeply heartbroken at the end of it. There is also gender pushing, one character dresses like a woman but doesn't want to be a woman. Another winner by the ever fab Ms Nitta, who always bring the pretty and a solid story.

Status: Can be read online.

U Don't Know Me by RAKUN
Awesome, fantastic, and sexy as hell are just a few of the words to describe this manga. It is one of my all time faves and I constantly find myself going to have a peek at it. Another one featuring high-school aged boys on their way to university. Get ready for Seyun, he is so super pretty and wears clothes to tease, There is a bit about family, and it just wraps up in a beautiful story about best-friends finally admitting to their love.

Status: You can read it online but can be found for purchase.

Complex by Manda Ringo
First of all, don't let the cover fool you. I avoided this one like the plague because of the cover and it was a mistake. This might be the best manga I have ever read! I literally broke down in tears at the end of this one it was just so insanely good.

The book shows the life of two friends from age five until their old (up to 80 or so). Each chapter titled after their age, we experience all their ups and downs and man there are downs. It still does have that craziness of most yaoi but also with a realistic feel. Nothing is ever easy for the boys, and they have to fight for each other in the end. It really is quite breathtaking and the best yaoi I have ever read. I Kid You Not!!

Status: Incredibly hard to find but it would be worth the search.

I believe there is yaoi manga for everyone the hard part is getting through them all. I have read some crappy, others that were ok, and others that are just made of pure awesome. This list is just a tip of the iceberg for my faves, so I will be updating as time goes by. Been thinking about reading yaoi? Check out the websites and find something that is to your taste, it’s the most fun way to pass the time.

Pants Off New Reviewer!!!

I am once again announcing a new addition to the Pants Off Crew \o/ Hannah came highly recommended and I am so super excited she came on board. Please help me in welcoming Hannah, and show her some serious love.

Here is a more about her

'Hi, I'm Hannah. I spend most of my time being bitter about the great injustice of being born a straight female, so escape into the much sexier world of M/M erotica/romance, until I get to come back in the next life as a gay man who looks like Ryan Gosling...and if I don't I'll be having serious words with the man upstairs. I have no in-between, I either get completely obsessed by something or I am uninterested, this will be reflected in my reviews :)'

Hannah

Be sure to keep a lookout for Hannah, her reviews go live on Monday.

New Pants Off Reviewer!

I am so excited to be adding to the Pants Off Team! I had put out an announcement and Fehu answered my call. As you will see by her mini bio, we have a heck of a lot in common. You guessed right, she had me at Yaoi and Fanfiction *teehee*.

Here's a bit more about her...

I'm 26,  but I don't feel that way, I love, love, love reading and started pretty early with 8 years, since my mom stoped reading my favorite Astrid Lindgren stories to me, after I requested them again and again, so really I had no choice but to start  reading them myself. My comfy book is The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, which I've read and reread about 25 times.  I  accidently stumbeled into shonen-ai stories, while reading online fiction and then Tokio Babylon got me into fanfiction, because Seishiro and Subaru deserved a better ending and someone wrote that! My first fantasy books with and male romance plot was Luck in the Shadows by Lynn Flewelling and it's still one of my favorites. When I'm not reading, I love to back to destress and those two hobbies always seem to distract me from my sports goal, as in actually doing sport and not just watch soccer games.

Cheers,
Fehu

So please give Fehu a warm welcome, and keep a lookout for her reviews.

Spaghetti Again? My Fave Foodie Books

I am a lover of food, and lately I’ve been dabbling in the world of cooking and baking. I have been cooking for a long time now, but I am going worldwide with my cooking. I’m doing recipes that I was afraid to try in the past, and doing a fusion with recipes I already know. Being from a Jamaican background, I am used to eating a certain way but it’s gotten boring and now I am mixing it up. I also dabble in a bit of baking, that doesn’t often go as well as the cooking but what the hell I’m trying.

So I love food, and I love to read about food in books. Sometimes it can be seriously boring with easy spaghetti for dinner. I always wonder where did the author’s imagination go when it came to writing the food part. Where did it go! I’m not knocking spaghetti, it’s my go too dinner for my boys cus they love it. I just really enjoy reading about food in books, really sets the mood for all the awesome fucking that’s gonna happen afterward.

Here are some of my fave Foodie books… Where the men cook or they get the cooking done for them.

The Wedding Planner by G.A Hauser
Puppy Love Series by Jeff Erno
Devon Cream by Jet Mykles
Just Desserts by Scarlet Blackwell
Bring the Heat by M.L Rhodes
A Taste of Love by Andrew Grey
Loving Edits by Mickie B Ashling

The Long Way Home by Z.A Maxfield

The Trap by Indigo Wren
Double Blind by Heidi Cullinan
King Perry by Edmond Manning
Once A Marine by Cat Grant

So that's some of my fave books where the food made me want to eat my reader. What books had you wanting to eat your reader/pages? ~list to be updated~.

*I just got a slow cooker and cooking in my house is about to become extreme, cus you can do all kinds of shit in a slow cooker*
