OMFG! This Book #1

So this week I started my challenge in clearing up my TBR. It wasn't very good reading, but at least I got them out of the way. The books are some of the first I added to my TBR back in 2010 and I am happy I got them of the shelf, but I still got a long way to go. I am feeling really good about this, I don't feel pressured, just feel like I accomplished something. So I am really excited to continue.

As I mentioned in a previous post that I will not be reviewing the books I read for the challenge, unless I really wanna gush about it or it pisses me off. So here are two books I read this week (or I should say one book I read this week).

Chosen (Need #2) by Sean Michael
Torquere Press
Novel: 213pgs
Rating: 2/5 (based on what I read)

Thoughts: I could not bring myself to finish this one, as much as I tried. Loved the first book, and I really enjoy Bast and Trick. I am never one to complain about sex, but this book had enough for five books. It was like a character ate something, the proceeded to fuck. Someone had a bath *fuck*. Someone was bored *fuck* (although that is something fun to do). Someone spoke to their sister *fuck*. I got fed up and felt like nothing was going on with the MCs and I could not find the connection I had to them before. What happened to my boy like vampire and his Trick? Just bleh!

The Last Bite by Evangeline Anderson
Short Novella: 77pgs
Rating: 3/5

Thoughts: I want to read a book by this author where the MCs do not have sex under dire circumstances. It’s never a natural progression, it’s always a forced thing, or someone’s dying kinda thing. Don’t get me wrong I like the author’s work but I am getting tired of the sex under duress. I liked this one well enough, but I wasn’t feeling the characters and their love. As I said it all felt just too forced. Upside, that cover is what dreams are made of.

  1. Sorry the books stunk but congrats on removing a few from the tbr pile. I have books from 1996 (gawd) in my bin. It's embarrassing.

  2. I took up your "TBR challenge" and picked Safe Harbor by Tymber Dalton out of my TBR pile. Sorry yours didn't go so well, but thank you for this idea because I freaking loved Safe Harbor (it's a menage but plenty of man on man lovin' in this one) and I might not have gotten around to it without the arse push.
