Initially I was going to give this book a 4 Pants Off, but I spent the weekend thinking about it and going back to look over my fave scenes (which is like pretty much everything). So Sunday night I realized that I am all kinds of in love with Catch My Breath which is so surprising cus M.J O’Shea books are always a little so, so with me. This one I love so damn much giving me boy band feels causing a pants losing and so it had to be added to my “Oops! Where did my pants go??”

I’d like to tell you where my pants went…

First I was all like “this is so sweet like YA” and then boom a Mr Elliot Price started saying and doing out sexy things. At first he was awkward as fuck and out of nowhere he starts saying shit like

“you’re mine and I’m gonna put your feet on my shoulders and fuck you” 

just like Danny’s face my pants were in a state of shock and disappeared. Then I realized that I love Elliot and my boy band feels were EPIC. Like the only group I was crazy about was the Backstreet Boys (keep the backstreet pride alive) and I never once thought about any of those guys getting together (whispering: I lie I totally thought Howie and A.J were banging and no one can tell me otherwise and how hoped to be a part of their little love nest).

Then there’s the somber mood of big money management trying to keep the boys apart but you can’t stop love bitches, you just can’t stop it. There’s been times I wanted to commit character murder but the urge was strong as shit for this, strong as shit. YOU CAN’T STOP TRUE LOVE YA BASTARDS!!

The writing was sweet and I love all the boys in this story, keeping the bromance strong and beautiful. I’ve never been more in love with M.J O’Shea’s writing like I am right now. This book is surely getting  on my faves of 2013 and phew where the fuck is my pants?

I am a huge fan of the Boston boys after reading A Life Without You by Erica Pike and that was the book that made me fall in love with the author. So yeh really excited to read Black Hurricane because Jazz has been an amazing sexy character throughout the series and I just was so ready for his HEA. While Black Hurricane is absurdly entertaining I was still disappointed with the overall story and I did not love it as much as I had hoped.

Jasper *Jazz* Jones is single, hot, and has an amazing group of friends. Yes, life is little challenging with making a steady income and keeping his home but he's willing to put in the hard work. When his friend Eric offers a serious amount of cash to take some pics Jasper jumps at the opportunity but he's regretting his decision because that would mean he gets to see Dean McQueen after many years. Dean is the leader of the wildly successful rock group Black hurricane he's also an asshole who broke Jazz's heart back in high-school. Sucks cus he's still sexy as fuck and Jazz just wants someone to ruin that smug face. Jazz his hoping that Dean doesn't recognize him and he doesn't but he's hell bent on getting Jazz into his bed. When Dean shows up at Jazz's place of work his cover his blown and Dean finds out exactly who he is.

Now it becomes a game of cat and mouse with Dean going after his prey and Jazz hell bent on never getting sucked back in. He knows staying away from Dean is the best course of action, too bad Dean can't take a hint and his financial dreams get answered when he's offered to join Black Hurricane on a few charity concerts. Old hurts and old love collides which causes tense filled rehearsals and a sexually charged atmosphere. Now Jazz must listen to his heart or walk away from Dean forever.

Alright, this book confused me in the very beginning. Like Jazz goes to take the pictures of Black Hurricane but comes off like he didn't know Dean was in the band all along and was all surprised then the story moves into like he did know it all along. Maybe I missed something but that was the impression I got. I'm also starting to find the characters a bit superficial which surprises judging from how the series started to where the characters are at now. A Life Without You had so much substance, the characters were so rich and I wanted to know everything about them. Now, I feel like I don't want to know them because I might end up disappointed. There clouded in parties, glitter, and fucking and that’s all I'm seeing.

Yet, the story was still very entertaining and while I'm all types of confused to what happened with such a promising series I am still kinda in love with them. I like Jazz as character but I used to love him and as for Dean he gets a bad rap in this book. I would have liked more from his POV because he's been through some things and it was just too much about poor ole Jazz.

Should You Read It? It’s still a yes for me, and while the last two books doesn't compare to the first in the series they are fun to read. So I still enjoy Erica Pike and I still am looking forward to the other characters story.

I am unable to write a coherent review, so I am gonna rave about the pants losing this book caused. After reading the ending of Sinner's Gin you know shit was gonna be epic, and epic it was.

I'd like to tell you where my pants went. It got lost somewhere between Damien wearing that cowboy hat and Sionn just speaking. I couldn't even handle all the words or their explosive chemistry. Then of course there is all the explosive action that is never absent from a Rhys Ford book, it begins explosive and then ends even more explosive (gawww that ending).

Then there was this...

"Shut up and listen to me Irish," Damie whispered, licking at the spongy head hidden beneath Sionn's hood.
"You say you're safe. I know I'm safe. So unless you're going to get me pregnant, I'm going to suck you clean and fill my belly with your taste. Because I need that. I need you. Right. Now. Because the only thing thats going to make me feel better right now is you"

I can't even; I don't even know cus I am filled with too many feels.

"Hi you've reached Darien's pants. Sorry I unable to be found right now, but I hope to be back after a few days because Whiskey and Wry was just too sexy. Sorry if I'm unavailable to lose my pants for you". 

Seriously though, let’s get to real talk. Whiskey and Wry is another superb hit by the author. With action packed writing and unforgettable characters that will surely delight all the fans. I just really enjoy that the characters are flawed and there isn't any of that trying to fix them. They will work things out in their own time. Also, this villain be cray, cray but so very entertaining. Whiskey and Wry offers family drama in both the positive and ugly side of what it means to be a family (they say blood is thicker than water but that’s just being literal).

Loved, love, love the crap out of this book. I was entertained, lost my pants, Miki and Damien are just so freaking amazing I wanna eat them up with a spoon. Looking forward to Shaken & Stirred (not the actual title of the book) I'm just going on how it will probably make me feel.

Review:
Another book I was very surprised by, and man it’s awesome when that happens. Metal Heart brought out all kinds of emotions in me, if you follow me on twitter and Goodreads then you already know this. There is something very charming about the story, and refreshing about the characters that I just fell in love with. Plus, its rockstars and they're always all kinds of kickass.

The book is broken down in two parts: the 1990s and 2011 (the books present time). In 1990, Scott King is looking for a band to make it big with so he can quit his day job and go on to superstardom. When a friend tells him about a band one man short, and gives him their demo, Scott knows he's found his band. With the smooth sultry voice of the singer giving him feels below the belt, and with a name like King Phoenix it’s like a match made in heaven. When Scott finally meets the band they hit it off right away but it’s the singer Ash that has Scott in a twist. Ash is sexiness personified and Scott is close to losing his shit over the sexy singer, but he's got the music to get lost in and keep his crush under control. Working their way to up in the music scene comes with a lot of hard-work and disappointments but they knew the road to fame wouldn't be easy. From the small gigs, and rocking out at every club/pub they get to play at Scott's feelings for Ash intensifies but he knows that nothing will ever come of it. Until he gets a glass to the face at a gig gone wrong, and Ash is jumping in to take care of him and pouring out his feelings while they lie together in bed. Things seem almost perfect, because together they will take over the world with their music and rock on.

A series of ups and down, and finally all their hard work is paying off. Scott and Ash are in love, but the relationship remains a secret, regardless their happy being with each other. King Phoenix is the next big thing, and people are noticing. Boom, comes the record deal, KP is finally touring, and things couldn't be any better. With a few good years under their belt, suddenly performing for larger crowds has Scott suffering from stage fright and it’s taking a toll. When friends introduce him to pick me uppers that will take his fear away, Scott feels like he can fly. Next, he's using things to stay awake, drugs to go the sleep, and he is just one addicted mess. His love for Ash won't save him this time and everything starts to fall in between the cracks. When Scott realizes he might be losing Ash, he goes on the bend and ODs, and a dream for a band goes up in flames.

Now it’s 2011 and Scott has tried to forget a time when he almost died, and lost the man he loved more than anything. So when he gets a call to a reunion show for a friend who is dying to raise money for his family. Scott can’t be an asshole and say no, but it would mean seeing the band for the first time in 16yrs but most off all it would mean seeing Ash. He decides to do it but it doesn't mean he's gonna be nice about it, because while he was fighting for his life his bitch ass band upped and disappeared. It's that Ash up and disappeared is what hurts the most.

So this book was made of awesome, and I am just surprised by how much it I love it. Though I am singing praises, it did piss me the eff off. First, Scott really knows how to hold a grudge and though I can understand him being pissed about them not coming to see how he was doing, he can’t blame them for his drug use. No one held his face to a line of coke, so he has no one to blame but himself. I am also pissed at all the band members because the douche bag faces could have visited him or at least called to see how he was doing, especially Ash. They were in love and together for years, and just like Scott I can't forgive him easily. No matter the excuses I was all "It Doesn't Matter" all your stupid asses could have called in the last 16 bloody years.

Meredith doesn't shy away from writing the drug use, and you get to see how intense it all was for Scott. The relationship between the men was a real sweet case of young love, and it’s heart breaking to watch them crash and burn. But they were so young going after a dream without any form of guidance. I wouldn’t have minded if this story was a bit longer because I feel a lot of things weren't explored to their full potential. There is a lot of blame, without any real solution so I am feeling a bit dissatisfied with how it all ended. I am crossing my fingers that I get another story, because I am so in love with Scott and Ash.

Should You Read It? I am going to give this one a big YES, because I cried while yelling at this book. This was my first time reading Meredith Shayne and it will not be my last, I loved the rockers, loved all the angst, and I loved Scott/Ash. The writing had such a wonderful flow; I could have easily read another hundred pages. Metal Heart was superb!

Review:
On his vacation in Belize, where he hopes no one will recognise him, the singer Nico gets more than he bargained for. First he gets kidnapped after ruining one part of his kidnapper’s plans to get back at his ex-girlfriend. His kidnaper, Patrick is not working alone and the crew, especially the sleazy Slade, is showing great interest in a "closer" relationship with Nico. Sleeping in Patrick’s cabin seems like the lesser evil, even if Nico is not 100% sure about that. Patrick offers Nico a deal, help him in his plans and pretend to be the former mentioned girlfriend to accept a package and he will let Nico go. Of course nothing goes like planed.

Nico is an interesting character, who doesn't give up easily and is quite charming. I liked that he tried to escape and didn't just meekly go down. Patrick didn't know what hit him, because Nico might look la bit girly, but he is quite spirited and challenges Patrick’s authority, and actually rescues them from a tough situation and proves that he is more than his voice or his looks.

The story is pretty fast paced and I didn't understand why Nico was jealous about Patrick’s ex, when he was told about her the next day after his capture. Patrick is not the evil master mind, he really isn't that (couldn't even conceive of shooting said evil ex after she captured them), but still why would one feel anything like possessiveness about one's kidnapper? Or play guide for the guy one captured a few days ago. There were no big emotional conversations, revelations or anything; Nico talked more with other guys about personal things than with Patrick, so I don't know where Nico's feelings for Patrick are coming from.

That said, it's kind of fun to read, all is happening very fast and the evil guys are super incompetent and that's not only Patrick, I'm talking about. A spunky, flamboyant superstar kicks some aspiring pirates and gets his man in the end. I would recommend it as a vacation read, most of it is sunny, light and humorous, some aspects are not, like the attempted rape but you simply knew that Patrick would come to the rescue. ;)

Its official, I love every book I read by Megan Derr. My first book by the author was The Missing Butterfly and since then I been reading all her fantasy books. Love You Like A Romance Novel brought the magic, and man I am in love with her rocker boys.

Jet has just hit gold, when he finds out his most perfect cousin writes steamy romance novel under a pen name. This comes as a surprise because his cousin is like an emotional robot, rich, and with lawyer attitude. As the lawyer for his rock band Forever and a Dai, Jet knows how much of a bastard his cousin Jason can be. There is no love lost between them, and the only time they get along is when they're fucking (so yes...Jet blackmailed him for the nookie). What started out as just sex might have escalated into more (but the boys are keeping that part to themselves), besides all this family bonding is illegal, and if they're family found about it well....

When Jet father dies of a heart attack and leaves his company and fortune to him, Jet is pissed because he never wanted it. That's why he left home 11yrs ago and they never tried to talk with him. His music is his life and that’s how he likes. The vulture that is his family descends because they want the company, but Jet wants to sell and the drama unfolds. Death threats, a family divided, and a romance forbidden. Jason and Jet have a lot on their very rich plates.

WooHoo, I liked the crap out of this one. There was angst, and rich people problems, and pretty rocker boys wearing make-up *swoon*. What I enjoyed the most is the relationship between Jason and Jet (yes, I know their cousins, and yea I'm pervy like that), I liked watching them get from point A to point B. Jason the fierce protector of his family, but if you piss him off he's not afraid to go ruthless on your ass. Jet, who just wants to sing and love Jason, and maybe prance around naked in public, it's a case of opposites attract, and man do they rock out.

Throw in the media, and syndicate crime bosses and you have yourself one entertaining read. Yes, some of it was a bit over the top but it worked cus it's all about the rockstars baby and crazy rich people. A little twist at the end there, which made Jet and Jason able to shout their love from the Hollywood sign but..., I am not in love with it. Megan Derr proves her versatility in writing, with Love You Like A Romance Novel.

Should You Read It? I don't even know why you're even thinking about it. Just run and go get it, and get lost in all its awesome. Ms Derr is hands down in my top ten of fave authors. I love this book like a romance novel (cheesy, but suck it). :D

Review:
COVER- I am a big fan of P.L Nunn, her artwork is always beautiful. I love the covers she does for Jet, and this one is no exception. The cover captures the very sexy Rabin with his guitar, and Izzy with his long hair and the best t-shirt that I someday wish to own, it’s a hot cover and I freaking love it. There is just something uber sexy about musicians, whether they know how to play the instrument or not.

So Squire is the first book in the Indigo Knights series, a spin-off of the authors Heaven Sent series. If you haven’t read the HS series, I would advise you get on it right away. It is just Hawt, Steamy, Sexy and so totally YAOI. Pretty boys getting it on with other pretty boys, I call that a good day.

Rabin Squire is a struggling musician, who just got help from one of the biggest name in music. Brent from Heaven Sent as agreed to help his band out and hopefully bring them back on top, and making good music. He has moved in to the house to work on the music, and it seems Brent’s cousin Izzy is also staying at the house.

Izzy has flirting with Rabin a daily routine, but Rabin seems unaffected, but how long can you deny yourself when you start noticing how pretty a man is. Rabin is getting the thoughts, but he straight, Right? Things get a little confusing, but things are very clear for Izzy he wants Rabin and he is gonna make his move. A night of steamy passion answers some questions for Rabin and leads to new ones like; Why does sex with a man feels so good? Why does he want to do it again? And when Izzy is around no one else compares.

A hush hush affair is going on, a bit of hiding, denying and a whole lot of other emotions. Is this relationship all about f*cking or is there more. These men have to do some figuring out and have some very hot sex. Welcome to the world of Jet Mykles.

I love GFY (gay for you), they are just 50x more sexy, its just so hot when a declared straight man gets the hots for another dude, I love it. Rabin and Izzy are hot, Jet is a genius, she could write about squirrels and I would buy it. For all my new to m/m readers, Jet is an author to read, she does pretty like no one else.
 
SideNote- Zane, Rabin's bff is a little bit of a hater when it comes to gay relationships. My hopes and dreams for him is that he starts liking a man and that man is a top. Yeh baby, that would burn, it would burn so good.

Review:
I enjoyed this second offering in the Conquest series, though a tad bit predictable and equally mushy. It was still a wonderful book about the sexiest rockstars eva. Evan and Jesse are back in big way, and it’s never a bad thing to visit them.

The relationship is established, but they still must keep it a secret from the public. They both struggle with hiding their love for each other, and its becoming harder for them, not to shout to the world that they are in love. It has the same feel as the first book, Evan and Jesse totally in love with each other. Others hating on that love and trying to bring them down.

A certain crush finally becomes known, involving the hater Trish. I just never really liked her and am so glad she is finally gone. I still don’t understand what it was exactly that made her fall in love with Jesse. Is it because he is a good singer, and really good looking? On the other hand, could it be that, he completely ignored you from the very beginning and you were hoping that Ur vagina would turn him straight? She just really irked me.

There is a serious conflict, and I thought it was dealt with quite lightly. The severity of the crime was no joke, and I was just hoping that the aggressors got more of an ass kicking. Or hope that they would drop the soap in prison. I think if you are going to, write something of that degree; the payout had better be good. I just wanted so much more; those bitches hurt my Jesse.

Overall, another fantastic instalment in the series. Jesse and Evan are fantastic, sexy, and downright sinful. Only once a month do I wish I was a man but these two would make me want to be one all the time. They are incredible, rocking out has never sounded and looked so good. The supporting characters are also back, some a lot better than others. Always a good time in the world of Conquest.

SideNote- Easy with the unnecessary drama.

On the run from a killer, Darren has to come to terms with the fact that the voice is real and has a name. Asher Stone is the alpha of a werewolf clan and claims that Darren is his alpha mate. Can Darren believe in Asher's promise that they were meant to be together or will an unknown assailant kill him before he realizes that being the alpha mate is what he desires most in the world?  

Short Review:
Heart Song was an ok read. Nothing new offered up in this werewolf drama, but still worth a look into.

I did enjoy the whole talking to a voice inside your head for ten years. After the first year, instead of thinking I was crazy. I would be saying, “This voice is real, cus its making way too much sense”.

The sex was hot, enough of a story to keep me interested and willing to check the rest of the series out. I cannot say I was blown away, but I can say I was entertained. The characters are likeable, but forgettable. I can’t even remember their names right now. Blame it on more memory or a bad character impression (lol).
